blog wk 14: Guess Who?

The first person I will describe is the most open and embracing person I know. Her dedication to encourage the less fortunate is modest and unbelievable. Her honesty and good advice is respected and admired by anyone who knows her. Her positive outlook and immense charisma make her smile and glow with radiance. She would be the last person to deny aid to a close friend she reaches and catapults you from the low and depressing oblivion you are at the moment. She is the sweetest and funniest person to have as a mother.
He will never forget a grudge due to his incapability to be human. He has caused more problems to his family than anyone else. When he could help his children amend and become brotherly to one another he encourages conflict and feeds the fire inside of each one of them against the other.  He is the cure and the cancer to the resolution of his problems. It is unfortunate that my grandfather has caused a family to divide over an inheritance he has yet to distribute.
My heart beats a thousand miles per hour when I see this person. She has a smile that could light up a room and eyes so big and round you could almost see her soul through them. Her feminine features and hour glass figure could make me faint. Her long hair is like silk with natural shine that makes the sun look dull.  The way her voice moves through the air, as if an angel’s throat was place inside of her neck gives me chills that make my knees grow weak. This person has great significance to me which is why I will not give her name.

blog wk 13 REVIEW TIME!!!!!!!!!!!

hello everyone, this weeks assignment asks for us to review what ever subject we wish to review. I am so exited about writing this blog entry because I have so many things I want to review. I guess I will begin by reviewing my favorite band's new album, Light me up,  just went on sale this past Tuesday. Their name is The Pretty Reckless and they are a band with a hart and soul of rock legends. The lead singer is non other than notorious celebutant Taylor Momsen who appears to be better know by her choice of outerwear than her vocal talent. The band has a very 90s' rock edge with a more contemporary sound. So far they have tour all across the country and are currently touring world wide to locations such as London and Paris. As of right now my favorite tracks from their album would have to be Since your gone, a song about a break up that gives new meaning to moving on and My medicine a song with hard driven rock tunes and use of vivid descriptions. I encourage everyone to look up The Pretty Reckless and to give their record a chance.
The next subject I would like to review is a member of the fashion world who is turning heads with his chiseled jaw and striking good features and is creating controversy over his gender role. Andrej Pejic has become a fast a fashion icon in his own right. His female facial appearance has made him the go to model and the definition of androgyny. Pejic has walked in both male and female fashion shows for international fashion designer John Paul Gaultier and is now the face of the spring/ summer of 2011 collection of American designer Mark Jacobs. As for Andrej he appears to be very aware that his good looks may only take him so far and that one day he might be out as fast as he was in.

How has Fast Food Nation Changed my life Post #12

We are more than half way through the semester and reading Fast Food Nation has been a very interesting experience to say the least. I believe my appetite for red meat and poultry has changed gradually. Before reading the book I had viewed various videos on the subject and had experimented with eating almost no meat except for fish for over six months. It was a realization of what a big part meat plays in my life. For every five meals my mother made for dinner, four contained meet. I became excluded from a lot of family gatherings because of the rejection my family felt from not eating their food. I made an attempt to return to eating meet and it was far from pretty. Thanks giving came and the turkey was sitting on the table. My mother quickly gave me a strong gaze like, "You better eat some meat or else..." type of look. I cave and ate the sacrificed bird. I vomited throughout the whole week. I had lost the lipids that would digest meat so my body became very strange to consuming such food. I eventually recovered those lipids and was able to continue eating meat as a "social recreation." I became disappointed to having caved so easily into the meat temptation, but I also believe that according to the environment you live in will ultimately determine the success of becoming a vegetarian or a person with low consumtion of meet.
